The Youth Mega Festival

The Youth outreach took a greater step in the fight against HIV/AIDS among the youths by introducing an annual event, where schools come together to participate in music dance and drama aimed at sensitizing the public on AIDS and stigmatization of the AIDS victims.

This event registered a great attendance from both the schools and the public in it's first year. The event was held on 11/07/2009 at Norah's complex hall in Lugazi, Uganda.
It involved HIV/AIDS testing and counseling aimed at encouraging the youth to develop an HIV/AIDS testing culture with an aim of having a community where HIV/AIDS testing is a common practice that helps the people to know their AIDS status. Over 300 people were tested for HIV/AIDS.

This years theme was "The Youth and HIV/AIDS". This theme registered a great impact on the youths. Next years theme is "Teenage Pregnancy and its Impact on Both Boys and Girls"
We believe that music, dance, drama and poems can reach out and have a great impact among the youths.

This years event attracted many high profile people who included the Director Of the Foundation For Human Rights Initiative Mr. Livingstone Ssewanyana, The Mayor of Lugazi, and other civic and religious leaders.
