Sensitization at St. Mary's college school

TheYouth outreach Mission is always proud to visit schools and openly speak about HIV/AIDS to youth.
This day of April, 19, 2010, we visited St. Marys college Lugazi with two (2) major themes to share with them.
1- Career guidance
2- The fight against aids starts with me.
We started our sensitization at 14:00GMT and ended it at 17:00 GMT.
Our major objectives in this sensitization were
1- to create awareness about AIDS
2-Give students various tips of how to succeed in life
3- Equip the students with various life skills and how to be
focused in life by setting various goal and objectives to achieve.
4- to equip students with various methods and ways of fighting HIV/AIDS.
5-To answer some of their burning questions on life and HIV/AIDS

The benefits of this sensitivities
We managed to successfully achieve all the above mentioned objective
we also got a positive response from the students as they made allegiance to always protect their lives and keep their dreams alive.
We also formed an AIDS club at the school which we are going to train
to reach out to their fellow students and equip them with various skills in life and AIDS.
The students had a lot of questions to ask, but due
to time we could not exhaust all of them, we are now compiling all the questions together and we shall take back their answers and put them up on the notice board so that they can all read it.
This will be in form of a news letter.

I would like to thank every body who made this sensitization
a success, with out you this wouldn't be great.
Please continue supporting us to reach out to thousands of students out there with an aim of having an HIV/AIDS free generation.

Visit to the orphans

The members of T.Y.O.M made a maiden visit to the orphaned children of God mercy Junior school in Lugazi.
These children are orphaned due to the death of their parents from AIDS and other natural occurrences like accidents. They are happily studying under a temporary shed made of poll and papyrus.
we shared a lot with these children both in class and out on the playing grounds.
We also donated pens, books and Pencils to the school to help the children in their learning process.
We also played football and other games just to show them that they are not alone in the world but that there are other people who can share with them in both times of joy and sadness.
Snacks and sweets were given out.
The school is looking after 26 orphans.
Their Major plan is to put up a major permanent structure because when it rains the pupils lessons are canceled and they will not study the whole day, they are usually affected by rain and too much sun hit.
So we need to pray for these little angels, they are living a very hard life and their Education is not that pleasing.
