Analysis of the problem
many girls in Uganda go face a lot of challenges with out having any body to help them solve such problems.
These challenges are mainly physical and emotional which do affect there career development, this has made them develop hatred for being girls and many of them curse this natural endowment from God.
A team of dedicated members both from TYOM and Help International Volunteers 2011 came up with plans on how to help girls make them feel proud of being and equip them with various skills on how to handle/Solve these problems.
How the problem was Handled
The team was involved in several campaigns which we held in different schools to try and talk to the students inspiring and equipping them with ways and skills on how to manage their problems
the schools we visited included;
- St Andrews Secondary School Lugazi
- Lugazi Mixed
- Lugazi High
- Bishop Nkoyoyo Matale
- Home land collage
- Mehta Secondary
The campaign of promoting the girls and making them feel proud shall continue on and on.
Your Ideas on how we can approach such problems is very welcome.
Rewards
All the schools that participated in this campaign were rewarded with certificates of participation which were given to both the senior female teachers of each school and the Head girls for championing the campaign and helping out girls achieve their life time goals.
